The conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, policy makers and the public to exchange and share experiences of challenges and solutions to growing older in rural areas. We will present some of our latest research and delegates will have the opportunity to shape the direction of our future research (2020-2025) in light of practical needs and prospective cooperation and collaboration to address the health and social care needs of older people living in rural areas of Wales.
Every person should have the opportunity to live a long and healthy life. Healthy Ageing is about creating the environments and opportunities that enable people to be and do what they value throughout their lives. (World Health Organisation, 2019)
