Calling all knitters (and would-be knitters) - The DPJ Foundation needs your help!

Can you “knit a bobble for that wobble” – DPJ want you to help raise awareness and funds so they can help people with poor mental health in the farming community in Wales.

For more details please see the message below from DPJ

" We have challenged ourselves to collect 100 knitted bobble hats before the end of the winter, but we need your help to do this. We would like you, your parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren to get involved and get knitting. But not only will you be helping us, knitting is also good for you too.

Evidence shows that knitting has positive health benefits: both physical and mental.

Knitting:
• Lowers blood pressure
• Reduces depression and anxiety
• Slows the onset of dementia
• Is as relaxing as yoga
• Distracts from chronic pain
• Provides an opportunity for creativity
• Increases sense of wellbeing
• Reduces loneliness and isolation
• Increases your sense of usefulness and inclusion in society

Knitting is for everyone – and at a time the Welsh population is in lockdown, this is a great way to help.

Don’t worry if you have never knitted before, you can follow this link to see a tutorial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTAV-S7Ziys .

Once you have your completed hat (or hats) send them to us at our office (Ground Floor Rear Office, 5 Dark Street, Haverfordwest, SA61 2DS), we will sew on a DPJ Foundation label and will be selling them to raise funds for the charity.
