The sessions are held on Zoom and run for 1.5 hours, twice a week for a fortnight.
Sessions have already been delivered in July, August and September, with sessions already booked and filled for October, November daytime and evening.
Due to the demand a daytime session has also been added to be delivered in December 2020, which is something that historically hasn't been offered. Contacting the Society to book a space is highly recommended.
The Alzheimers Society aim to meet the needs of the carers and will add an additional date if demand is high. They are actively working to put things into place for face to face future delivery when restriction are reduced. However in the meantime they have successfully been able to adapt the CrISP course content and reduce the delivery time to make the sessions much more accessible to carers by delivering it directly into their homes. This doesn’t mean that courses won’t be delivered again in the community but the best way of getting information to people right now.More information about the programme and the Dementia Connect Helpline can be found via the flier attached to this article and via this link Carer Information and Support Programme
