Who?
We are looking for volunteers from all walks of life - to help us reflect the wants and the needs of the whole population of Wales in developing and improving the NHS locally and nationally.
What?
Community Health Council (CHC) members are local volunteers who act as the eyes and ears of patients and the public, listening to their concerns and working with the health service to improve the quality of patient care.
Why?
Patient care is at the heart of the NHS, and the CHCs are THE independent voice of patients and the public in Wales. Members are asked to give the equivalent of three to five days a month and any ‘out of pocket’ expenses such as travel will be reimbursed.
