Training materials have been developed which support the understanding of these new procedures and will shortly be available across Wales.
Social Care Wales are hosting 8 half day awareness raising sessions across Wales aimed primarily at the voluntary and service provider sector and will deliver the sessions in partnership with New Pathways.
The purpose of these days is to;
- raise awareness of the new Wales Safeguarding Procedures,
- help familiarisation with the app itself, and
- hear an overview on what has changed from the previous procedures
- let you know of the arrangements for updating the procedures and associated training materials.
Please note, this is not a safeguarding training session. Attendees will have the responsibility for disseminating the learning and information back to their respective agencies/workplaces.
There will be 30 places at each half day event; 10 spaces will be reserved for the voluntary sector, 10 spaces for providers and 10 spaces will remain open for the Regional Safeguarding Boards to issue invitations.
Each session will last for 3 hours only.
