Mental Health Regional Development and Planning Partnership Board Continuing to meet online.

During Covid-19 lockdown the Mental Health Regional Planning and Development Partnership will continue to try to meet online every 3 months.

This will  ensure that important decisions around the planning of mental health services in Powys continue to be made cooperatively between all the services and organisations who deliver these services ( e.g. Powys Teaching Health Board, Powys County Council, Dyfed-Powys Police and voluntary mental health groups like local Minds and Ponthafren.)There are also service user and carer representatives who provide a voice for the people using these services, and they are still actively looking to engage with anybody who wants to raise an issue to be taken forward to the partnership. One of the representatives, Sarah Dale, posted on her Facebook information page, https://www.facebook.com/blackcatproject/ Black Cat Project yesterday encouraging people to get in touch with her.

‘Despite being on lockdown I am still here to help in any way I can as a Mental Health Rep. so if you have any issues with the service, getting the right support etc. I can support you in getting these issues addressed or just anonymously feeding back your experience. If there is an issue I am unable to help with I will find someone or an organisation that can’

If you want to get in touch with Sarah and the other representatives Rhydian Parry and Jane Bishop then you can call PAVO on 01597 822 191 and ask to speak to a Mental Health Representative, or email owen.griffkin@pavo.org.uk.
