PAVO have taken the decision to continue to subsidise courses for the coming months. This means that members can attend any of our 2-hour training sessions for just £20. Not only that, but membership is still FREE (find out more here).
You can find out all about what’s coming up in our April/May training video.
Bridging the April/May divide we’ve two courses focusing on how to harness the power of social media for your organisation or group. Starting with the ‘Basics’ course on 28th April – for absolute beginners – Flo Greaves will then move on to look at strategy, audiences, good practice & etiquette – your ‘Next Steps’ – on Wednesday 5th May.
Newly recruited Powys Volunteer Centre officer Emma Coates will take you through everything you need to know when ‘Preparing and Recruiting Volunteers’ on Tuesday 11th May. By the end of the this course you will better understand the responsibilities you have towards your volunteers and what you can expect from them.
If you’re someone who works with volunteers, this leads well into a FREE WCVA/PAVO collaborative session on how to use the Volunteering Wales website, part of the Third Sector Support infrastructure to help volunteer-led organisations across Wales. We’ll be joining others across Wales to learn more from Michiel Blees on Thursday 13th May.
Everyone who’s involved in running a Charity – or thinking about taking on a governance role – can benefit from our ‘Being a Trustee’ course with Michael Entwistle on 20th May. This course will take you through the legal responsibilities you have when you are a trustee as well as your role and the responsibilities you have towards your organisation.
As if that wasn’t enough there’s also free sessions on time banking & using the Welsh language.
All courses can be booked through our website & payment (where required) can be either by invoice or PayPal when booking.
