Tele-friends at Tenovus Cancer Care

Tenovus have a new telephone befriending service called Tele-friends - trained volunteers are on hand to give weekly uplifting phone calls for those who are affected by cancer.

Tenovus Cancer Care say:

"We know a lot of people during this time may be feeling lonely and isolated so this weekly chat could hopefully ease this.

Due to the Coronavirus, lots of people are self-isolating and we know that for a lot of people we support or who support us, this can be a lonely time.

We want to make sure we help you as much as we can through these times and as part of this, we have recruited Tele-friend volunteers who will be matched to someone so you can have a regular phone calls to lift your spirits and chat to someone friendly outside of their own home.

How it will work?

You will be matched up to one of our lovely volunteers for a nice uplifting chat. You and your volunteer will agree the day and time each week that the phone call will take place.

Who can sign up?

This is for anyone affected by cancer, whether you are a volunteer, supporter, use our current services or are new to Tenovus Cancer Care – we can help to support you!

How do I sign up to receive the help?
