Hungry for theatrics?! -  the National Theatre presents Simon Godwin's Antony & Cleopatra. Ralph Fiennes (The English Patient, James Bond: Spectre) and Sophie Okonedo (Chimerica, Hotel Rwanda) play Shakespeare’s famous fated couple in his great tragedy of politics, passion and power.

GARDENS – National OPEN Garden Scheme

Put Spring in your step and take a short virtual tour of Hurdley Hall in Churchstoke, Powys.

Hurdley Hall is one of those rare beauties where age, nurture and nature combine to create a truly stunning garden. Against the soaring, glorious backdrop of the Roundton Hill Nature Reserve, daffodils and snake head fritillaries jostle in the breeze and in the summer rows of lavender, deep herbaceous borders, a wild flower meadow, topiary and an orchard create an unforgettable impact. In spring, daffodils, buzzing bee hives and new born lambs herald the glories to come. Join owners Simon Cain and Simon Quin for an early virtual visit.

LOCAL THEATRE – Willow Globe online production

Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night's Stream from the Wet Mariners performing 7.30pm on Saturday 9th May 2020

The Wet Mariners with their vibrant madcap style have become an essential part of the Summer Season at the magical Willow Globe in Llanwrthwl, Powys.

We are therefore delighted to confirm they will be the first of the professional theatre companies to embark on the hugely exciting digital adventure for the Willow Globe.

With their customary verve, they have leapt at the challenge of lockdown and will be performing their own production of 'A Midsummer Night's Stream' online.
