Have your say: Wales Public Body Equality Partnership Public Consultation

We are inviting you to take part in the Wales Public Body Equality Partnership consultation on their Equality Objectives and actions for 2020 to 2024.

Please share this invitation with both community groups and organisations working around equality and with your members or diverse individuals. Diverse individuals includes older, younger, Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic, disabled, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans people; people of different religions and beliefs; people who are pregnant or on maternity leave; and women and men.

Public Bodies Involved include: Natural Resources Wales (NRW), Arts Council of Wales (ACW), National Museum Wales (NMW), Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW), Welsh Language Commissioner (WLC), Careers Wales, Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA), Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), Sport Wales, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, and Velindre University NHS Trust.

This consultation will end on Sunday 26th January 2020. Please answer this consultation by Sunday 26th January 2020.

We welcome your replies earlier, if possible. Earlier replies will help us design the engagement events. All replies will help us agree our Equality Objectives and the actions we will take to achieve each objective.

This consultation is available in large print format and as a Word document in both Welsh and English on Diverse Cymru’s website.

We are holding engagement events about these Equality Objectives.

These events are your chance to tell us what actions we should take to achieve our Equality Objectives.

We welcome delivery partners and stakeholders, diverse individuals and community groups and third sector organisations at these events. Diverse individuals include:

• Young people under 26
• Older people over 50
• Black and Minority Ethnic people, including Gypsies, Roma and
Travellers
• Disabled people. This includes:
o People with mobility impairments. For example, wheelchair users or
people with health conditions that affect walking.
o People with sensory impairments. For example, Blind, Deaf, or
hearing-impaired people.
o People with learning disabilities. For example, autistic people or
people with dyslexia or dyspraxia.
o People with cognitive impairments. For example, people with
dementia or hydrocephalus.
o People with long-term health conditions. For example, HIV,
diabetes or MS.
