Police, Government, banks and other legitimate agencies are highly unlikely to call you or send unsolicited emails in relation to COVID-19. We urge members of the public to take steps to safeguard themselves. Remember, police and banks will NEVER ask you to transfer money or move it into a safe account.
We remind you not to give out personal information (including bank details) unless you know who you are talking to, and think before clicking on the link within an email or before visiting websites.
We urge you to be vigilant and pass this message on to friends and family, particularly those most vulnerable.
STOP- Taking a moment to stop and think before parting with your money or information could keep you safe
CHALLENGE - Could it be fake? It’s ok to reject, refuse or ignore any requests. Only criminals will try to rush or panic you
