This has been an inspiring initiative and the product of strong partnership between PCC, PTHB & the voluntary sector. To date the volunteers have provided 23,752 hours of their time to support people receiving their vaccinations across the three centres.  The volunteers have made a huge contribution in helping Powys lead the way in achieving such high levels of vaccination amongst its residents.

As the booster programme commences, the need for more volunteers increases. The end of furlough and the lifting of COVID restrictions has resulted in a greater need for volunteers to support the centres, particularly in the Builth Wells centre.

Any volunteer joining our team will:

Undertake a COVID 19 health risk assessment 
Have a DBS check
Complete a programme of mandatory training
Receive travel expenses
