The EU Citizens Rights Project is funded until 31st December 2020 to provide free advice and assistance with the EU Settlement Scheme, and specialist advice for Employment & Discrimination.

At Citizens Advice Flintshire we cover the region of North Wales, and Powys.
  • Most EU, EEA and Swiss Citizens living in the UK have to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme by 30th June 2021 to continue to have the right to live in the UK.
  • It will enable EU, EEA and Swiss Citizens to be able to: work in the UK, use the NHS, enrol in education, access public funds if eligible, and travel in and out of the UK.
  • There is estimated to still be at least 20,000 people left in Wales that need to apply to the scheme.
  • Although the deadline is ultimately 30th June 2021 people’s rights can start to change from 31 December 2020 for example they might be ask to prove they have settled or pre-settled status after this date to use the NHS, or get a job.

We have a webinar with Mark Isherwood MS on 9th July at 3.30pm if anyone would like to join to find out more information on our project.
