Salary: £21,589 pro rata (NJC points 12)
25 Hours a Week
Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under the age of 11. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.
Home-Start Cymru have expanded their services to Powys county, and consequently we are looking for an enthusiastic part-time Family Co-ordinator based in Newtown/Welshpool. The
Co-ordinator will be responsible for working with families that are referred to our service, as well as actively recruit, train, supervise and support a team of volunteers.
Excellent communication skills and an understanding of the needs of vulnerable families are essential.
The successful candidate must be educated to NVQ3/A Level standard or equivalent and be able to deal sensitively with the public and liaise with statutory services. Knowledge of office
systems, use of own transport (expenses paid) and an enhanced DBS disclosure required. A teaching qualification e.g .PTLLS/CG7303 and the ability to speak Welsh would be desirable
due to the nature of the role.
