What Every Board Member Needs To Know
Course Aims
Being a committee member is a big responsibility. Make sure you are aware of your legal obligations and how to be an effective guardian for your organisation’s future.
Course Content
To be a ‘safe pair of hands’ for your community group or charity, you need to know both the extent of your responsibilities and the limits of your powers. Our experienced trainers will cover the legal basis of your role as a trustee and also highlight the key areas – including finances, safeguarding, health & safety and conflict of interest – that all trustees need to be aware of.
Course Outcomes
By the end of this session you will have a better understanding of your responsibilities and liabilities as a trustee or committee member. You will also have an overview of the legal basis of the organisation that you serve.
