Administered by Social Care Wales, the All Wales Basic Safeguarding Awareness programme is the most up-to-date and relevant safeguarding resource for those working with children and adults across Wales.
Delivered by PAVO’s experienced trainers, this half-day session tailors the programme to volunteers, staff and carers working across Powys in the voluntary and community sectors.
This well-researched, interactive and accessible training will ensure that you have the knowledge, attitudes and skills essential for keeping the people you work with safe and protected from harm
By the end of this course you will:
● Understand the principles and values behind effective safeguarding
● Know how to recognise different types of harm, abuse and neglect in children, young people and adults
● Understand your own role in relation to safeguarding children, young people and adults
● Understand the procedures and referral routes for protecting people at risk from harm, abuse and neglect
● Be up-to-date with relevant policies on safeguarding
