Sound financial processes and planning are key things that funders look for in a grant application.

This workshop focuses on budgeting and full cost recovery, and will give you both a good grounding in the use of these tools and a wider understanding of their role in providing strategic information to underpin your mid and long-term planning, inform your funding strategy and demonstrate your ‘fundability’.

The workshop will be hosted by Angela Owen, PAVO's Head of Internal Services, who has steered PAVO's finances for many years and brings a friendly approach to what can be a daunting topic.

This is the first part of a two-part course, you may attend both workshops or just one, there is no need to book both if you don’t need to!

By the end of the session you will understand what a budget is and how to write one; understand what full cost recovery is and the impact on your budget and funding strategy; learn how you can use budgets to support funding requests
