Grants of variable sizes are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas in the areas of animal welfare, armed forces, education, historic buildings and medical causes.

While the Foundation’s deed indicates it is a generalist funder, in reality its grant support tends to be directed towards the following areas:

Animal Welfare - support of endangered species, regardless of location.
Armed Forces - support of charities relating to the Armed Forces, and the support of ex-service personnel.
Education - supporting the furtherance of education, with a specific focus on the sciences, engineering and technology.
Historic Buildings - the restoration and continued maintenance of historic buildings.
Medical - support of advanced medical research, and expansion and modernisation of medical facilities.
