The Matrix Causes Fund (MCF) is a charitable fund administered by the legal company Matrix Chambers. Since 2003 Matrix has committed over £1 million to national and international charitable causes.
Matrix Chambers is seeking applications for its Matrix Causes Fund (MCF) to provide support to organisations which promote:
o Access to justice (particularly for people trying to get support to meet their basic personal needs).
o Equality of opportunity, and/or
o A sustainable environment.
Applications are particularly welcome from organisations in the UK whose focus is on supporting the needs of vulnerable persons such as (please note this is not an exclusive list):
o Prisoners.
o Asylum seekers.
o people with mental health difficulties.
o People (particularly children) with disabilities, and
o Women in refuges.
The MCF provides one-off grants of up to £5,000, or funds of up to £3,000 a year for 3 years to UK registered charities.
The Matrix Causes Fund may be able to consider applications from organisations that are not registered as a charity in the UK.
Any applications to should be received by 5pm on Monday 12 July 2021. Applications received after this date will be put forward to the next quarterly meeting.
The Matrix Causes Fund Committee will next meet on Thursday 22 July 2021.
