The purpose of the Trust, both long-term and short-term, is to benefit charities in general, but particularly charitable causes relating to the encouragement and protection of nature, gardens and the arts.

As the Trust is unlikely to accept unsolicited applications, the best way to test the water about the possibility of securing grant support is to write a letter of introduction (sometimes referred to as a letter of interest or LOI) about the work of your charity and its funding requirement, which should be kept as a modest request as funding is most likely to be provided under the Trust’s miscellaneous category.
