The Clore Duffield Foundation’s primary focus is on supporting large-scale and small-scale, community based, initiatives within the cultural sector, in particular:
o Cultural learning.
o Museum, gallery, heritage and performing arts learning spaces.
The Foundation occasionally make donations to the health and social care sectors. It is also a major sponsor of London’s Jewish Community Centre.
Grants ranging from £10,000 to sometimes in excess of £1 million can be awarded to UK registered charities for:
o Project, programme and revenue funding, and
o Capital redevelopments and learning space initiatives.
During the year ending 31 December 2017 the Foundation received 470 requests for grant support and allocated grants totalling £3,542,808 (2016: £7,493,681) to 67 organisations. Awards were made against the following categories:
o Arts, heritage and education: £3,127,092.
o Leadership training: £378,501.
o Health and social care: £510,271, and
o Jewish support: (£52,360).

Applications can be made at any time by:
1. Submitting an initial letter of application, no longer than 2 sides of A4, and
2. Enclosing a standard-sized, stamped, self-addressed envelope.
If the Foundation decides to progress an application to the next stage, applicants will be asked to submit a full proposal. Additional guidance, including a meeting with representatives of the Foundation, will be provided at this stage.
