Grants for not-for-profit organisations in the UK that are supporting the mental health and wellbeing of individuals, including research in the field of mental health.

o Funder: The Bally’s Foundation (previously known as the Gamesys Foundation, the Bally’s Foundation, which is one of the world’s leading gaming companies, changed its name in 2020).

o Who can apply: UK not-for-profit organisations, particularly registered charities, with an annual turnover of over £50,000.

 

The Bally’s Foundation will provide grants of various sizes for UK not-for-profit organisations that are supporting individuals with mental health and wellbeing issues, as well as agencies with a focus on research in the mental health field.

While the Foundation will normally prioritise UK-based registered charities, it will consider applications from other types of not-for-profit organisation providing they can evidence a track record of successful work in the area of mental health and wellbeing. All applicants must, however, have an annual income of over £50,000.  

The Foundation’s grants will support organisations that can demonstrate the following:

1. Are “Learning Led” – applicants should have a culture which values evidence, are committed to continual improvement, and share what they learn with others.
2. 
Are “Mission Aligned” –applicants share the Foundation’s aspiration of alleviating mental health issues (including addiction, conditions of emotional or mental distress, issues caused by social isolation, homelessness, bereavement, and suicide).
3. 
Are “Risk Aware”– applicants have robust governance and financial management in place, with high standards in safeguarding their staff and beneficiaries.
4. 
Are “Storytellers” – applicants are able to tell compelling stories to shed light on mental health issues and remove the stigma attached to mental illness, and
5. Demonstrate an understanding of what the Bally’s Foundation is.
