The Apax Foundation is a grant-giving body which focuses the majority of its giving on charities and social enterprises whose work helps to stimulate social mobility and entrepreneurship, or provides educational opportunities in deprived communities..
The Foundation has stated that the intake and integration of refugees is one of the most pressing issues facing countries in the West and that it is particularly interested in supporting UK organisations working to help refugees into meaningful employment or entrepreneurship.

The Foundation meets regularly to review grant applications received from all charities which meet its grant-making objectives. Grants are awarded on the basis of:
o The applying charity’s effectiveness in achieving its aims.
o The number of beneficiaries reached.
o The sustainability of the charity’s programmes.
o The strength and stability of its management team and internal processes, and
o The long-term public benefits that would flow from the deployment of a grant from the Foundation.
