We are pleased to announce that Welsh Government have recently confirmed funding for the ‘Summer of Fun’ small grant scheme to provide a range of play, sporting and cultural activities for children and young people aged 0-25.
The funding is available for activities organised from 1st July 2022 to 30th September 2022 and the aim is to provide children, young people and their families with play and activity opportunities in their communities.
The activities can run on weekends, evenings, and school holidays up to 30th September 2022.
To enable us to offer a wide range of activities throughout Powys over the summer period we would love to hear from you if:
- you are already providing activities during this period.
- you would like / are able to offer more activities during this period.
- if you have ideas about activities, you might be able to offer during this period.
- if you know of a service or organisation that would be interested in offering activities
The projects are required to support one or more of the following objectives for children and young people:
· Play opportunities/activities.
· Sport Opportunities/activities
· Art activities
· Cultural activities
· Early Years projects and activities
All activities taking place during term time must run out of school hours, be free for children, young people, and families to attend, with a maximum of £5k per application, you will also be required to complete a smart survey for monitoring information.
