The prize is open also to British candidates and to projects carried out on the territory of the United Kingdom. This prize will therefore be a tangible contribution to keeping alive the links between the EESC and British civil society, as requested by the Brexit Follow-up Group and, more in general, by the EESC members in the farewell ceremony in the January plenary session.
The EESC intends to award 29 prizes, of a value of 10,000 EUR each: one for each of the 27 Member States, one for UK and one for projects with a cross-border or European focus. The deadline for entries is 30 September 2020. The awards ceremony will take place during the EESC plenary session in January 2021.
Detailed information about the prize, as well as the contest rules and the application form, are available on the EESC website .
