Community groups and organisations are taking responsibility for assets such as Village Halls, Community Centres and Council offices that are no longer in use, as well as running services such as grass cutting in towns and villages, sports pitch and greens maintenance, as well as litter picking and emptying bins (street cleaning).
Asset and service transfer from the County Council to community delivery is well underway in many parts of Powys.
