Volunteers needed for a Special Exhibition at MOMA Machynlleth

REFUGE AND RENEWAL - MIGRATION AND BRITISH ART

14 MARCH TO 6 JUNE 2020

SPECIAL EXHIBITION: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
REFUGE AND RENEWAL: MIGRATION AND BRITISH ART
14 MARCH TO 6 JUNE 2020

A major exhibition curated by Dr Peter Wakelin will take place at MOMA Machynlleth from 14 March to 6 June 2020.

The exhibition explores how artist refugees have affected art in Britain and will include works by Claude Monet, Camille and Lucien Pissarro, W. R. Sickert, Valerius de Saedeleer, Naum Gabo, Kurt Schwitters, Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson, Peter Lanyon, Josef Herman, Heinz Koppel, Josef Koudelka, Samira Kitman and Mona Hatoum.

This is an incredibly exciting exhibition and the most ambitious in MOMA’s history!

The exhibition takes place across all first floor and Tannery galleries.

In addition to our regular volunteers, we need extra volunteers to assist in the running of the exhibition by being stationed in galleries to help monitor visitors and the art works on display.

Our volunteer shifts are either from 10am to 1pm, or 1pm to 4pm, Mondays to Saturdays.

We can cover reasonable out of pocket expenses incurred while you volunteer, on production of receipts, e.g. reimbursement of bus/train tickets or petrol mileage.

Any help that you can offer will make a huge difference, from just doing one or two shifts, to taking on a regular slot throughout the run of the exhibition.

All volunteers will also receive a short training session before their first volunteer shift.
