Invitation to Sessions on Zoom at 10am on 2nd & 9th December.
Meaningful breaks and respite for families with children with additional needs in Powys.
We’re inviting Carers and families of children with additional needs (diagnosed or undiagnosed) in Powys to join Credu in a conversation to explore the possibilities for group activities or services that can provide meaningful breaks.
Before Covid, we heard that families were interested in exploring new options for activities to do together or as a group, that are not currently available. For example, some of the ideas that came up were:
- Time all together as a family
- Time as a couple
- Childcare during school holidays
- Time with other families or people who understand
- Services that bridge stay-and-play and childcare (developing safe relationships between children and their setting so families grow confident in leaving their children in childcare).
We’d now like to check in:
- Have these wishes changed?
- Is there anything new or different since?
There will be two meetings: come to either one or both! They will be pretty informal, with a combination of smaller and whole group conversations. Feel free to dip in to just listen, or contribute through the typed chat.
Wednesday 2nd December 10-11am meeting (followed by a social cuppa and chat)
We’re in listening mode: What would you like to see in your area? What would you enjoy?
Wednesday 9th December 10-11am meeting (followed by a social cuppa and chat)
We’re starting to think about: How we can make this happen together? Who needs to be involved?
If you know other families who would be interested in joining this conversation please invite them along!
