Would you like to start a community energy project in your area?

A comprehensive introduction to community owned renewable energy and how to make it a reality in your area.

Community owned energy schemes offer an abundance of opportunities for local residents to come together to act on climate change, tackle fuel poverty and raise funds for local projects. However, successful schemes need long term thinking and commitment and it can be difficult to know where to start!

Whether you are part of an established group, or just starting out with an idea, this one day workshop will give you a comprehensive introduction to community owned energy and how to make it a reality in your area.

The workshop will be led by Sharenergy’s Development Manager, Dave Green. Dave is a highly experienced energy advisor and assessor, and has been involved in several community energy schemes, including Shrewsbury Hydro and Shropshire and Telford Community Energy, and the Bishops Castle Heat and Wind scheme.

Sharenergy is a not-for-profit co-operative that helps communities find, build and own renewable energy generation. They are currently working with hydro power, wind, heat, and solar projects throughout the UK.

This workshop will be held in person in Llandrindod with an online option. Book your place on the PAVO training page.

This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund.
