The Sterry Family Foundation is a small family-based grant-making charity that regularly awards grants totalling around £100,000 annually.
The Foundation makes awards to UK registered charities working in the UK and specific geographies internationally. It also makes a few awards to individuals each year.
Its main areas of interest in the UK are:
o Amateur sport.
o Arts and culture.
o The advancement of education.
o The promotion of good health, and
o The relief of sickness.
The Foundation maintains this interest by also providing grants to UK charities operating in the following African territories:
o Botswana.
o Burundi.
o Kenya.
o Malawi.
o Mozambique.
o South Africa.
o Tanzania.
o Uganda.
o Zambia, and
o Zimbabwe.
Grants are generally between £1,000 and £10,000 and can be used for a wide range of charitable purposes. Most awards are for under £3,000. There is no specific requireme

The charity invites applications for charitable donations from other registered charities in writing.
Applicants should submit a summary of their proposals in a specific format, together with outline appeals.
Applications may be made at any time. The Foundation meets regularly to review requests for grant support.
