THE STANLEY SMITH (UK) HORTICULTURAL TRUST

Grants averaging £3,000 for charities, charitable organisations and individuals in the UK to promote horticulture and horticulture education, conservation of the natural environment and making gardens accessible to the general public.

Application deadline: Sunday 15 August 2021.

 

Who can apply: registered charities, charitable organisations, as well as individuals in the UK and occasionally outside of the UK.

The objectives of the Stanley Smith (UK) Horticultural Trust are:

o To promote horticulture.
o To promote the conservation of the physical and natural environment by promoting biological diversity;
o To promote the creation, development, preservation and maintenance of gardens accessible to the public, 
and
o The advancement of horticultural education.

The Trust achieves its objectives by making grants to organisations, institutions and individuals carrying out projects of significance to:

o Horticulture.
o Gardening, 
and
o Botany, with a strong horticultural element.

 

Please note the Trust does not maintain a UK website (although it has a website for its work in the USA). Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.

The Trust operates two application deadlines each year, on 15 February and 15 August.

The next application deadline is therefore Sunday 15 August 2021.
