London-based family grant-making charity, the Sackler Trust has been supporting research and education charities across the UK since 2010. Over that period, the Trust has committed more than £60 million in support of charitable activities in the fields of medical science, healthcare, and access to education and the arts, as well as supporting community organisations, heritage sites and projects which promote social good.

The charitable institutions supported by the Trust range from some of the UK’s leading universities and cultural institutions to small local organisations dedicated to improving life at an individual community level, as well as supporting charitable work worldwide. Its grant support spans work that includes global conservation projects, education for disadvantaged children, museums, universities and support for refugees. The Trust's principal areas of support are:

Arts: the Trust works in partnerships with organisations to help widen access to the visual and performing arts.
Education: the Trust supports a range of projects in the area of education, notably those focused on helping improve access to education for the disadvantaged and bringing a wider range of experiences to school children.
Environment: the Trust supports a diverse range of organisations that work to protect the environment; from migratory sharks in our oceans to the spectacular diversity of plants and fungi that populate our planet.
Heritage: the Trust supports projects that preserve heritage sites and important cultural icons now and for future generations to enjoy and learn from.
Medical Science: the Trust is committed to supporting advancements in medical science by creating the infrastructure necessary for long term medical research and innovations to be developed by partnerships between the world’s leading universities and hospitals to allow their expertise free rein.
Social Good: helping people and communities, particularly those most vulnerable and in need of support, is an important part of the Trust's work. The organisations it supports work in the UK and around the world to have a transformative impact on the lives they touch.

During the year ended 31 December 2020, the Trust awarded 56 grants totalling £3,565,220. Award ranged from under £150,000 to £500,000 (to the Watermill Theatre in Newbury, Berkshire).
