The Denise Cohen Charitable Trust is a general grant-making charity that awards small grants, mostly under £1,000, for a wide range of charitable causes. Charities working in the areas of the arts, health, disability, children’s welfare and Jewish causes are regularly supported. Charities working at a national level are also frequently awarded grants by the Trust.
Although it is not usually the Trust’s policy to consider unsolicited application, it is worth submitting a letter of introduction that clearly sets out the applicant’s:
o Objectives.
o Examples of best practice and financial sustainability.
o Operational transparency, and
o Demonstration of a commitment to public benefit.
UK charities or voluntary organisations are normally awarded a grant of between £250 and £1,000. Larger grants are occasionally made. There is no requirement for matched funding.
A letter of introduction may be made at any time in writing.
