The Magic Little Grants programme, which has just re-opened for 2022 with an increased budget of £1.3 million, offers one-off grants up to £500 which can be used for new projects, support existing projects or cover core costs associated with ongoing work in the following areas:
o Enabling community participation in the arts.
o Enabling participation in physical activity.
o Improving biodiversity and green spaces
o Increasing community access to outdoor space.
o Improving mental wellbeing.
o Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty,
o Responding to the climate emergency and promoting sustainability, and
o Supporting marginalised groups and promoting equality
Eligible organisations should be eligible to join LocalGiving (see note below) by:
1. Having an annual income under £250,000 or be in their first year of operation.
2. Having a UK bank account in the group’s name.
3. Having charitable aims that are not solely for the advancement of religion, and
4. Operating on local/regional community initiatives and not be a national charity.
Organisations that receive a grant will also be awarded free 12-monthmembership of LocalGiving, meaning each successful applicants will not have to pay the £80 + VAT membership fee.

Applications will be accepted from Wednesday 16 March until midnight on Monday 31 October 2022 and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis during the application window.
This year the Postcode Trust aims to award grants to approximately 2,650 nor-for-profit groups in England, Scotland and Wales.
