Honeypot Children’s Charity Volunteer Opportunity
Do you have the time, patience and expertise to fix our outdoor toys?
Honeypot Children's Charity is looking for a special volunteer who can nurse our small fleet of bikes and go-carts back to good health and usefulness. Our young visitors ride them from dawn to dusk and they seem to have bits dropping off all over the place. These wheeled toys are the favourite pastime of many of our young guests but they really do take a battering.
Could you spare a few hours every week or two to help us keep them on the track? Honeypot Pen y Bryn is situated in the hills approximately 5 miles out of Newtown, so you will need your own transport for which we can pay mileage.
Honeypot Children's Charity provides respite breaks for children aged 5 - 12 years who are helping to care for a parent or sibling. We have breaks most weekends and for the majority of school holidays. As you can imagine, with 12 children on each break, (yes, that's around 500 children each year!) all riding the bikes and go-carts that were very kindly donated to us, it really takes its toll on these little pedal-powered vehicles.
If you would like to help us with this important task, please email Sheri our Operations Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01686 622773 and ask for Sheri Rogers.
