Investing in Volunteers: Health Check

This tool provides a useful assessment of your practice in volunteer management. A trained advisor, will benchmark your organisation against the standard and provide you with a  development plan outlining areas for improvement or gaps in practice, signposting where you can get help to address these. By choosing the Health Check, you are able to get an advisor to complete the self-assessment for you as opposed to you undertaking the self-assessment.

Taking approximately half a day of your time, if you choose to address your development plan within six months of your Health Check, you can proceed to assessment for the Investing in Volunteers Award. The Health Check is valuable in terms of testing your readiness for assessment without committing to the whole process. Either way you are demonstrating commitment to your volunteers by ensuring the best possible management practices for your organisation.
