Non Executive Director

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust has a Non-executive Director vacancy on its board.

Essential expertise

• Clinical and patient safety expertise gained from medical, nursing or allied disciplines, preferably with experience at a senior level in general practice, clinical, academic, research or regulatory focussed fields.

Please note: Current healthcare professionals, NHS employees and contractors are not eligible for consideration.

Desirable expertise

The following experience would be an advantage but is not essential:

• Senior management or Board level experience working with large and complex organisations.
• Management experience involving financial controls and systems of risk assessment.

You will need to demonstrate a range of competencies required to contribute effectively at board level including strategic thinking, team working and excellent communication skills.

Preference will be given to candidates who live in the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin or Mid Wales areas, or have strong connections with these areas.

The time commitment is a minimum of two and a half days each month and remuneration is £6,096 pa.
