A new Regeneration Strategy has been prepared to put regeneration at the forefront of Powys County Council’s functions across all departments. The accompanying report also outlines how the Council intends to deliver its priorities in partnership with other agencies across the County. PAVO's Chief Officer, Carl Cooper welcomes the new strategy:
We are pleased to support the launch of the Powys Regeneration Strategy. It is a twenty year strategy but work has already begun on a number of issues including regeneration led procurement. This document will not stay static. It will evolve to meet the needs of our Powys community and will help us all to work together to harness community strengths and local assets.
The plan also supports working in partnership at all levels and between all sectors. It recognises that public service organisations work better when they support people and communities to build a strong and vibrant society.
