Children's Services in Powys
The publication of a CSSIW Report on Powys County Council's delivery of Children's Services has raised a number of challenging issues regarding their safety and operation.

Powys County Council has published an initial outline of the action it intends to undertake in the preparation of an improvement action plan; including a commitment to " ensuring that all agencies concerned with protecting and improving outcomes for children and young people will work together to deliver improvements". You can read or download it at: pstatic.powys.gov.uk/fileadmin/Docs/Childrens_Services/Powys_County_Council_Improvement_Plan.pdf
Powys County Council has also invited Carl Cooper, PAVO's Chief Executive Officer, to be a member of the multi agency improvement board which has been established to inform and address the the improvement actions which the CSSIW report requires. PAVO will be seeking the views and insights of Powys Third Sector organisations to help inform this activity.
