Chief Executive Officer

Salary: £29,323 to £31,601 pro rata (dependent on experience) plus 6% Stakeholder Pension

Hours: 30 per week

Location: Powys, Wales, based in Ladywell House Newtown

Contract: Permanent (Subject to a 6 month probationary period)

About Citizens Advice Powys

We help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing information and advice and by influencing policymakers. We use evidence of our clients' problems to campaign for improvements in laws and services that affect everyone.

We are part of the National Citizens Advice network, and we are now looking for an inspirational Chief Executive Officer to lead us through the next phase of our development.

The role

As Chief Executive Officer, you will report to our volunteer Board of Trustees, working together to develop and implement organisational strategy, whilst also having responsibility for the day-to-day operations.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will be a strategic leader, someone adept and forward thinking to develop services following the planned retirement of our long-serving and successful Chief Executive Officer.

You will be a committed leader, with excellent interpersonal skills to lead 20 paid staff and 17 volunteers situated in three sites across Powys, and be passionate about supporting the community. You should also be knowledgeable on charity law and governance to ably advise the Board of Trustees.

You will have the ability to inspire and work effectively with our funders and strategic partners, promoting our high quality advice service within our communities and using experience of financial management and income generation to ensure sustainability.
