Community Safety Partnership

One of the five themed partnerships of the Powys Community Strategy, working to keep Powys strong, safe and secure, contributing to the quality of life for all those who work, live and visit the County.

Partnership Sub Groups

Some of the work of the Powys Community Safety Partnership is undertaken by sub groups covering the following themes:

  • Anti Social Behaviour

  • Substance Misuse

  • Criminal Damage and Violent Crime

  • Burglary

  • Road Safety and Fire Safety.

Core Members of the Partnership

Five statutory agencies have responsibility for delivering the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.  They are:

  • Powys County Council

  • Powys Local Health Board

  • Mid & West Wales Fire Authority

  • Dyfed Powys Police Authority

  • Dyfed Powys Police

They are supported in this by the other members of the partnership who are:

  • Dyfed Powys Probation

  • National Assembly for Wales

  • One Voice Wales

  • PAVO

  • Youth Offending Team
