Roger is Chairman of Knighton Town Forum, a Knighton Town Councillor (3 Times Mayor), Vice-Chair of RAFA. He has served on Knighton Show Committee for 25 years, Chair of Horticultural Section for 14 years, a member of Tref-y-Clawdd 1970 Society (fore runner of Offa's Dyke Association). Past vice chairman Scout Association, part chair and president Chamber of Trade, Police liaison committee.

For over 11 years Ian has been the Rector of 5 rural parishes centred on Llyswen and for the last five of those he has also been Rural Life Officer for the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon. He has been involved as a volunteer and trustee of a number of groups in that time. A trustee of PAVO for the last 5 years. Ian is currently Chair of the PAVO Board and executive committee. he has also been involved through PAVO with the Spirit and Enterprising Community Buildings delegated grant schemes, sits on the Voluntary Sector Liaison Group and represents PAVO on the Powys Regeneration Partnership of which he has been Chair and Vice Chair. He has also been involved with the Equals project and the Powys Community Strategy Partnership. He is Chair of the Brecon & Radnor Committee of Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, Chair of the Rural Health and Well Being Group (an all Wales project of the Institute of Rural Health looking at issues around rural stress), a trustee of Organo-Phosphate Users' Support Group (OPUS) and Chair of SIREN (a Brecon based Social Enterprise).

Rachel is a Voluntary Sector Representative on Coleg Powys Board of Governors. She is currently Chair of South Montgomeryshire Volunteer Bureau and has experience of committee work, both in the voluntary sector and as a County Councillor. Involvement in running a farming business for many years and much involvement in the Young Farmers Movement in the past.

Gloria is a long-standing member of PAVO having served as chair and vice-chair. She is currently a Vice-President; serves on the Executive Committee; is chair of the 'Can Do Communities' grants panel; chairs the Health & Social Care Network, working closely with the Health & Social Care Facilitator; and represents the board at both the Voluntary Sector Liaison Group, which she also co-chairs, and the Health & Social Care Partnership.

She was re-appointed as one of the voluntary sector non-officer members of Powys Local Health Board in 2007 and undertakes a number of roles. She is currently deputy chair of the Board; chair of Clinical Governance & Healthcare Standards; a member of Public & Patient Involvement Committee, Financial Recovery Committee and Remuneration and Terms of Service Committee. Gloria is also the board's champion for Children's Services and c0-chair of the Children and Young People's Partnership. In this role she also sits on the Community Strategy Partnership.

Gloria is also a trustee and ex-chair of Powys Carers Service and a trustee of the Brecon Cathedral Choir Trust.

Throughout her work Gloria has been particularly involved in strategic planning, recruitment of staff, employment issues, personnel, policy and financial issues and has a particular interest in partnership working and building effective working relationships.

Roy was head of Welsh Office Voluntary Sector Branch 1993-95, Director of Wales National Lottery Charities Board (Community Fund) 1995-2002, Chair of Welsh Ambulance Service Trust 2002-2006 (non Executive Director 1999-2002), Grant Advisor Comic Relief (South Wales) 2003 to date, Member of BBC Wales Charities Advisory Forum 2006-2009. Samaritans Aberystwyth and Llandrindod circa 1990-1996. Currently Treasurer of Montgomeryshire Beekeepers Association. Roy has been vice chair of the Ambulance Services Benevolent Fund since 2006. He was also a member of WCVA's Executive as Welsh Office representative and then with the Charities Board. His experience is in managing and directing as well as some down to earth 'doing' things.

Martin is a trustee of Llandrindod Wells YMCA; trustee of Mid Powys Mind; Chair of Llandrindod Wells Angling Association; Co-leader Holy Trinity Youth Group (Llandrindod Wells); Former Church Warden, Governor Trefonnen Church in Wales Primary School.

His last full time employment was Head of Policy and Performance at Powys County Council. He is a qualified accountant (CIPFA) for the public sector. Martin took early retirement on 30th March 2007.

His skills and experience include strategic and corporate planning, performance management, financial management, people management and accounting. He have communication skills, a broad understanding of the public sector and particularly local government.

Martin's particular interests are in youth, conservation and the environment and the disadvantaged.

Ruth is currently employed as the manager of Radnorshire Women's Aid and works closely with colleagues across the voluntary sector and public services to support victims of abuse and their children. She worked for PAVO for 9 months as the Older Peoples Strategy Participation Officer and then as Project Officer for the sustainable funding review. As such she gained an invaluable insight into Powys' voluntary sector and the national perspective of the workings of voluntary organisations.

She has a range of skills and experience gained over a 20 year career in the public sector.  The last five years within the Powys Education Department. Having supported governing bodies she is fully cognisant of the legislative frameworks within which voluntary bodies are required to operate.

She is a fluent welsh speaker, a parent governor at Llandrindod Wells High School and secretary to the 1st Llandrindod Wells Scout Group.

Su Pascoe

Su is semi-retired and works part-time as Access Officer and Network Facilitator for the local charity Disability Powys.  Until her move to this area of Wales, Su was Chief Executive of AGE Concern (now AGE UK) in Wolverhampton for four years, responsible for a trading business and clubs employing over 40 staff and 160 volunteers.

Su qualified over 30 years ago as an Occupational Therapist with primary responsibilities in Learning Disability Services, then later Older Peoples Services after a number of Management posts in Devon County Council.

Su moved to live and work in Newbury, West Berkshire, leading the development of a fully integrated Intermediate Care Service for the Newbury & Community Primary Care Trust and West Berkshire Unitary Authority.  A move to the West Midlands (where her husband was stationed in the RAF) took her into Head of Older Peoples Services for Wolverhampton City Council.

Her skills and experience include strategic and corporate planning, performance management, financial management and personnel management. She has extensive understanding of the public sector, particularly the workings of local government and has a strong commitment to team development and team working. She is particularly adept at the facilitation technique called Pinpoint and has used it successfully with her previous Board of Trustees and other Trustee Boards and Management Teams.

Su took early retirement from her career in health and social care in April 2011 to set up, with her husband, Leigh, a busy smallholding raising rare breed pigs and various fowl, and to devote more time to developing a longstanding passion for art and craft design, which she plans to make into a business.

Chris Mann

Chris Mannwas the chair of Powys teaching Local Health Board from 2002 until earlier this year.  He was formerly a County Councillor, and became the lead member for adult social care and housing,

He has been chair of the Voluntary Sector Liaison Group. He is currently chair of Powys Citizens' Advice Bureau and a trustee of the Institute of Rural Health, which has offices in Newtown. Chris lives in Brecon.
